About the Role

The Equipment Executive will embark on a journey in maintaining accurate cargo information flows in partnership with agency networks.

Requirements

We are looking for a Equipment Executive who has a solid experience in a Liner or NVOCC industry.


·       Equipment Coordination: Coordinate with Inventory/Trade/local offices to monitor the availability, export allocation, demand, container grade to meet operational requirements and customer demands.


·       Equipment Inventory Management:

a. Ensure proper tracking and reporting of equipment movement and system updating.

b. Ensure each local office to adhere to KPI set e.g. average empty idling days, repair cycle, release empties based on FIFO rule, etc.

c. Ensure every detained / long stay laden unit is duly follow up by local offices until the containers are returned to our depot.


·       Equipment Maintenance:

a.       Conduct comprehensive visual assessments of containers, identifying any damage, wear, or structural issues with the EOR and photos.

b.       Work closely with M&R on equipment repair and maintenance vs their inventory situation / export forecast. To coordinate repairs with external vendors when required.

c.     Verify that containers meet required structural integrity and safety standards, including watertightness and structural soundness.

d.       Ensure that all repaired containers adhere to quality assurance and safety standards before their release for use.

e.       Analyzing the container upgradation based on customer specifications.   


·       Equipment Utilization Optimization: Analyse equipment utilization reports in system with the aim to minimize empty idle time and its associated costs.


·       Equipment Forecasting: Work with the local offices on submitting 6 weeks’ export forecast on time. Plan and coordinate equipment positioning and repositioning accordingly.


·       Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely reports related to equipment inventory, repositioning costs.


·       Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve equipment control processes, systems, and procedures to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and cost-effectiveness. Implement best practices and automation solutions where applicable.


·       IT Enhancement: Be involved and follow up in any IT/EDI enhancement, improve generation of reports, system changes.


·       Any additional tasks as assigned by Manager or Supervisor.
